James Tayor At Ravina

James Taylor is one of our favorites (especially mine :)  So we were very excited to hear that he'd be playing at Ravina this summer.  But we were quickly disappointed when tickets were sold out within minutes :(    We searched online & tickets were quite pricey.   Then Kris scored us last minute tickets from a co-worker...yay for us!!! So we packed our picnic basket with some of our favorite snacks along with a couple bottles of wine & enjoyed a date night on the lawn at Ravina.  Thanks to Kris & James for a wonderful summer night :)  Oooohhh how I could listen to him sing all night long too!!!

Cinderella Dance Camp

This week Gracie, Josie & Zoey are going to Cinderella dance camp.  They all LOVE Cinderella so it's the perfect camp for them. And they are super excited to dress up & dance like Cinderella.  The first day of camp they dress in rags & mop the floors but by the last day of camp they will be dancing at the ball in her beautiful blue gown.  I wonder which lucky girl will be a perfect match for the glass slipper :)  So fun that they are able to this dance camp together.

Cheers To Tangent

While shopping at Costco, we found a bottle of wine labeled "Tangent" so of course we bought it!!! And it was only fitting that we drank it with Will & Marci while visiting Tangent. Even if it was distributed from a winery out of California :)   Cheers to Tangent!!!

Future Lawn Girl

The past couple of summers, Gracie has steered Papa's lawnmower while sitting on his lap. This summer Papa taught her how to drive it ALL BY HER SELF!!!  She even backed it in & out of his shop...very impressive!!! Oh how proud she was too!!!   And what a bummer as I have the cutest video of her driving all over their backyard but unfortunately it's too big too post :(   Way to go Gracie!!!

Come Here Ducky!!!

As always, we fed the hungry ducks at Waverly Pond. Bread, tortillas & pancakes were just a few of the yummy items on the menu for these lucky ducks :)   Gracie was really good at throwing the food right in front of the ducks.  And Josie's strategy was to yell "Come here ducky" to get their attention.  By the time we were finished, the ducks were very full!!! It's always a good time at Waverly Pond :)



Rothleutner Vs. Rothleutner

We had a good time paddle boating today.  We had the same teams as last year :)  Rothleutner Team 1 included Papa, Nana & Driver Gracie.  Rothleutner Team 2 included Daddy, Mommy & Driver Josie.  I'm not sure who really won this fun family competition but I was just happy that we didn't hit anything as crazy Driver Josie was turning the wheel every which way but straight.  A fun time for all :) And already looking forward to next summer's competition!!!

Today we enjoyed a fun-filled family game of miniature golf.  Gracie was very excited to play & she actually hit the ball really well.  Papa helped Josie with her golf swing & the first couple of holes she did great too.  And she loved 2 things...her yellow golf ball & her yellow golf club. However, 18 holes of miniature golf was a little long for our little Josie. She wanted to have a snack by hole #3 & was ready to take a break by hole #7.  So it was only fitting that we took her picture at Hole #15 "Crab Apple".  As there were a few holes along the way where this title was very fitting for her :)  Surprisingly, she was all smiles for her photo.  If she only, knew what the sign actually said :)  Just another fun-filled day in Oregon.

Over the past few days, the girls have been busy painting in Papa's workshop....ooohhh how they love to paint!!!  Papa provided some pieces of wood & Nana provided some painting clothes :)  Our little Picasso's created masterpieces to be hung in Papa's shop.  We can't wait to see their artwork displayed on the wall next year :)  I'm sure Papa is also enjoying the new artwork in his shop :)

Just A Day At The Beach :)

Today we enjoyed another fun-fill day at the beach...we arrived around 11am & didn't leave until shortly after 8pm.  The girls even took a nap on the beach!!!  We enjoyed lots & lots of fun & playtime in the sand & of course flying our new kites.  And thanks to Daddy & Papa for building us a wonderful campsite so we could enjoy both lunch & dinner on the beach.  Roasting our own hotdogs & smores has never been so much fun!!!   Another perfect & fun-filled day on the Oregon Coast :)  We  sure "HEART" summer vacations!!!  :)

Up, Up & Away

The girls were very excited to go shopping for kites today to fly along the ocean :)  After searching for the "perfect" kite, Gracie picked out a beautiful bright rainbow kite which was almost as big as her!!! And Josie picked out a smaller yellow kite & she also decided that she wanted to buy her baby a matching baby kite.  Oh how she loves her baby!!! So the girls enjoyed souring their kites high in the sky today.  And as you can see, even Josie's baby flew her kite :)  What a fun day & a wonderful memory for them!!!
