Brookfield Zoo Field Trip

 Today was Josie's field trip to the Brookfield Zoo & I got to go along with her :)  It was a fun-filled day exploring the zoo & visiting some of our favorite animals.  And they all looked so cute in their matching St. Clement t-shirts which they have painted a symbol on for every field trip they have gone on this year.  Today they got to add an elephant.  And it sure helps in keeping track of very active 4 & 5 year olds when they are all wearing matching shirts too!!!

Disney World Countdown...

The girls are BEYOND excited for their FIRST TRIP to DISNEY WORLD!!!  To prepare for the big day, we created a Disney World calendar countdown.  Yay!?!?! we leave a week from today.  I still remember my first trip to Disney World & I can't wait to make more memories with my little girls :)  I hope Disney World is ready for The Rothleutners as these little princesses are ready for you!!! :)

Today's Daisy's meeting lesson was about listening to authority.  And after learning about how to avoid starting a fire & what to do if a fire starts, the girls got to try on the fireman gear.  And lucky for Josie that she was able to join in on the fun too :)  And look who almost has all her daisies :)  She will soon graduate to a Brownie :)

The Wizard Of Oz

It was quite the theater production today as Gracie & her friends celebrated Ella & Lauren's 7th birthday!!!  The girls performed a special version of The Wizard Of Oz where Ella & Lauren try to return home to celebrate their birthday with their friends.  Each of the girls had a part in the play & Gracie was the Good Witch Glinda!!! :)  And she played her part very well.

Tonight we enjoyed a Bowling Birthday Bash for Finley's 6th Birthday...Happy Birthday Finley!!!  You gotta love the ramps & bumpers as both girls scored strikes tonight :)  A very good time was had by all!!! And two bowling league champions in the making :)

Today the first grade class planned the All School Mass. I was very surprised when I walked into church to see a very smiley Gracie standing at the door handing out the brochures.  Of course, I got a picture :) She was a last minute replacement :)  Lucky girl!!! And seeing her participating in the mass brought back memories for me from grade school.  I still remember how happy I was when my dad would surprise me by showing up at the All School Mass that my class planned & especially when I had a special role.  Of course being a teacher, my mom was always there :)  I hope she has this same memory someday too!!! :) She sure was happy to see me!!!

Josie enjoyed celebrating #5 with her friends Abbey & Natalie at their Belle Birthday Dance Party.  And it was a bonus too as her favorite teacher, Ms. Ashley, lead them in dance :) So fun!!!

The Wheels On The Bus

Today I went with Gracie & the first grade class to the Kohl's Children's Museum.  And Gracie was especially excited to ride the bus with me :)  After doing some experiments related to wind & energy which they are currently learning about in science class, we explored the museum.   A fun-filled day with my favorite 6 year old :)

Cubs Opening Day

These two have been hugging all day!!! So glad I captured it too :)  It sure looks like they enjoyed 2 fun-filled weeks together on Spring Break.  Tomorrow back to reality.  But we sure did have fun!!! :)

Lincoln Park Zoo

Our last day of spring break & the perfect day for the Lincoln Park Zoo.  Our first spring outing there too!!!  We were able to check on the baby monkey, see our favorite pink flamingo's & the polar bear was even swimming laps.  And of course, we enjoyed a carousel ride too :)  A great way to end spring break!!! :)

Today we celebrated Johnny's 6th Birthday at Extreme Tampoline.  The girls enjoyed non-stop jumping...jump, jump, jump!!! Happy Birthday Johnny, too bad we weren't able to catch you in action :)

Movie Day

Our spring break adventures continue...today we went to the movies. The girls have been bugging me for months to go see a movie in the theater.  It must be something about the big screen, loud surround sound & movie snacks as going to the movies is so much fun.  And FINALLY their is a kids movie in the theater, YAY!!!  We saw the movie "The Croods" which is a movie about a caveman family that lives in a cave but once their cave is destroyed they embark on a journey that will forever change them.  The girls giggled the whole way through it.  Another fun day for us "Rothleutner Girls!!!" :)

Lunch With Daddy

Today our spring break outing was lunch with daddy at his office.  We enjoyed a yummy lunch in the cafeteria at Takeda...pizza, burgers & chips!!!  Yummy :)  Another fun-filled adventure for us girls this week for spring break!!!  We are certainly enjoying a week of play time in the city. And daddy enjoyed some company for lunch :)

Today we explored the Children's Museum at Navy Pier with our friends, The Peterson's & The Latimer's. Another fun-filled day!!!

Family Dinner Party

The girls enjoyed a family dinner together at the kitchen counter :)  During our post lunch shopping spree they bought high chairs that clip onto the counter top...just like the ones they had at The American Girl Cafe :)  Now everyone is comfortable at meal time. And dinner time has never been so much fun!!!

Next up, we went shopping at Trader Joe's. And ALL the girls had to join in on the fun!!! :) We have had quite a busy day?!?!

GDO...Girls Day Out!!! :)

We kicked off Spring Break Week with a "Girls Day" at American Girl Cafe. Just me & my favorite girls...all 5 of them!!! :)  Our adventure began with some spring shopping for Jennifer, Lanie & Maddie.  The girls wanted to get them all colorful outfits & they had to come with sandals.   Once the girls were dressed in their new spring outfits, we headed to the cafe for lunch.  The girls made sure their dolls were well taken care of & we all enjoyed a very yummy lunch.  After lunch & dessert too :) we headed back to the store to do a little more shopping :)   They are already asking when we can go back?!?! :)
