Taylor's Pajama Party

Taylor had a sleep under pajama party for her 7th Birthday.  The girls & their American Girl dolls came dressed in the pajama's & they enjoyed crafts, dancing, pizza & a movie.  Happy 7th Birthday Taylor.  Gracie, Josie, Lanie, Maddie & Mommy all had a very good time celebrating your big day :)

Frozen Sing Along Movie

The video is dark but you can still hear them singing. Especially Josie as she sang quite loudly.  So fun that this is the one time it's acceptable to sing at the top of your lungs in a movie theater!!! :) A fun movie date with Aunt Katina & Cousin Zoey too.

Iowa Maid-Rite

The Iowa Maid-Rite just like the one from the diner my dad use to take me to for lunch as a little girl :)  I found this recipe online & I had to make it as I haven't found a place that serves a maid-rite like the ones in Iowa.  This ones for you dad!!! It was absolutely delicious. The mustard relish makes it. #ilovemycrockpot

American Girl Dress-Up Day

In honor of the last day of American Girl After School Camp at school, the girls dressed up like their American Girl dolls & a professional photographer took pictures of them :)  Principal Melissa Dan joined in on the fun too & posed with the girls for a group photo. Apparently she stops in every week to check out camp.  She even stopped me outside of school to tell me how much she enjoys her weekly "play day" with them. And how the candid photo of Gracie looking at her doll was her favorite & it needed to be framed :)   Thanks Ms. Chertack for another fun American Girl Camp.

St. Clement Hoedown

We enjoyed a fun-filled hoedown for the school fundraiser.  And it was a lot of fun dressing in western attire too.  Watch out Tim McGraw as Kris was stylin' in his hat & kickers.  Hee Haw!!! :)

Thank Goodness For The Chinese

Gracie is learning about the Chinese in school.  She created pasta noodles & some even have sauce on them & she made chop sticks too.  Here are the interesting facts she also included:

"Pasta was invented by the Chinese.  It was invented 3,000 years ago. Pasta is a food.  It comes in different shapes & sizes. You can put cheese on pasta & sauce.  Thank goodness for the Chinese"

I couldn't agree more Gracie as I love pasta too :)

Braids

Gracie was very excited to show me that she taught herself how to braid Lanie's hair.  She said she learned from watching me do her hair so many times :)  Great job Gracie!!!

Hot Chocolate Date

Josie had a play day after school today & daddy was working from home so he treated Gracie to a daddy/daughter hot chocolate date at Starbucks.  She sure looks like she's having fun :)

If A Lived In A Snow Globe...

According to Josie "If I lived in a snow globe...I would watch a movie"  And as you can see by the picture she drew she would be watching Frozen :) I hope I'm invited to her snow globe!!!

BMF

I always enjoy unpacking Gracie's backpack from school as almost every day she has written me a note or has drawn me a picture.  Today I came across this picture.   It took me a minute to figure out BMF?  BMF aka (also known as) "Best Mom Forever"  Awe...thank you my sweet Gracie Girl :)  Right back at you Gracie XOXO

Mad Scientist

This week Gracie's book report was to read a book from the library & then do an experiment from the book.  She chose the book Investigating Science: How Do We Use Materials.  She also had to include her hypothesis & findings in a a Lab Report & present her experiment to the class.  This one sounded like a good one for her & daddy :)  She chose to do the experiment "Float or Sink".  She picked 9 items to test such as coins, bottles, pencils & even daddy's sock!!! Which by the way did sink which she thought was funny :) They filled up the bath tub & our Mad Scientist went to work conducting her research study.   And her hypothesis was correct for 7 of the 9 items.  Way to go Mad Scientist Gracie & good luck presenting your findings to your class :) And a special thanks to daddy for capturing these photos while I was in New Jersey!!! :)
