Best Gift Ever as the girls got The Voice Game on the Wii for Christmas.  So it's time to sing & dance & see which Rothleutner is the best.  Daady asked to sit this one out :)

Christmas Breakfast

I love making Christmas breakfast for the girls. This year it was Rudolph pancakes :) They we were a big hit!!!

Santa Claus Came To Town

Santa Claus definitely was good to the girls this year & that is ALL the girls as the American Girl dolls were taken care of too.  We are happy to report that the Rothleutner Salon is officially open for business. We enjoyed celebrating Christmas Eve with the Stephens/ We exchanged our Christmas gifts & everyone was very excited about their gifts,   Gracie, Josie & Brady were especially excited about their new robes.

Every year I buy the girls & I a new ornament for our Christmas tree.  This year my favorite ornament was the one that Josie made at school.  The snowman were created with her fingerprints & she painted it all by herself too.  I absolutely love it!!! And it's so meaningful too. What a great addition to our ornament collection.

Ho Ho Ho

Next up we visited Santa Claus.  The girls told him that they had been good all year & he agreed so they are on the "good list" again this year!!! Thankfully he said that mom was on the "good list" too :) Santa was also happy to see that Josie didn't have any loose teeth this year so there was no need to pull any teeth.  Of course we showed him the photo of him trying to pull Josie's tooth out. We told Santa we were heading for a late lunch at our favorite spot Frankies & he told us to order the burger as they have the BEST burgers.  Thanks for the recommendation Santa :)

Our annual visit to the biggest Christmas tree in Chicago. Oh how we love Bloomingdales. These girls sure do sparkle :)  More holiday fun in the city.

Annual Rothleutner Holiday Party

 

And it's a warp...another Rothleutner Holiday Party is in the books.  A good time was had by all. And we even pulled off a fabulous party with delicious appetizers despite not having an oven to bake anything in  :(  Like the saying goes "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade".   And we certainly did just that :)

Christmas Concert 2016

You Make Us Sparkle

I helped Josie's class surprise their teacher, Mrs. Connolly by helping them create a "Thank You" card on canvas to go along with their Christmas gift. They each put their thumb print on it & then we strung them into Christmas lights.  She certainly does make them sparkle.  I was very pleased with the outcome as it was a bit stressful working with lots of different colors of ink & lots of little thumb prints going every which way on the board.  Luckily I figured out how to erase the smudges :)  #lessonslearned

Up On The Housestop

Our little elf is singing in the blue jumper in the front row.  They did a great job singing & I loved the actions too!!! :)

Christmas Caroling

Josie's class spread some holiday cheer today as they went Christmas caroling at a neighborhood nursing home,  And lucky mommy got to join them :)  It was touching too see the elderlies eyes light up with joy as the children sang them Christmas songs.  Some of them even asked if they would come back next year.  Oh how I love the magic & spirit of Christmas.

Go FIght Win

It's a busy weekend for the Rothleutner girls as Josie cheered her first basketball game of the season for the 4th Grade Boys.  She's very excited to  cheer at her big sister's basketball game laster in the season.  Josie & her friend Elle couldn't be any cuter. GO BLUE!!!

Gracie's first basketball game of the season was today. It's a big deal now that she's in 4th grade as she can now play. It was an exciting game with the St. Clement Wolverines winning 10-9 & scoring the winning shot at the buzzer. Go Get Em #31 :) #GoBlue

Lincoln Park Zoo Lights 2016

Our  holiday season wouldn't be the same without a trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo Lights.  Our first time there was in 2006 when Gracie was 4 months old & we haven't missed a year since. Another fun-filled night tonight enjoying the lights. #familytraditions #rothleutnergirls

Happy Thanksgiving

It was a good Thanksgiving at the Zwiefelhofer's.  The cousins enjoyed lots of playtime, the ladies enjoyed catching up with vino & the guys enjoyed a much needed nap after our amazing "turkey day" feast!!!  And most importantly we were thankful to be together.  

GDO. (aka Girls Day Out)

We are kicking off our Thanksgiving Break with a GDO  shopping spree along Michigan Avenue.  And we decided to take a pit-stop & snack break so I took them to see the amazing Chicago skyline from the John Hancock Building at the Signature Room on the 95th Floor.  It was their first time & they were in awe of the amazing view.  And they thought that the cars looked like matchbox cars since they were so small :)  Cheers to the beginning of Thanksgiving Break & to a fun-filled day with my girls!!!

Stopping for lunch & a selfie as we road trip to Appleton, Wisconsin to visit our friend Marcia.  Yep...I'm driving Ms. Amber.  Girls Weekend Whoop Whoop!!!  I "heart" my friends.

Brownies Field Trip

Today Josie's Brownie Troop went to the Nature Museum on a field trip.  What an amazing view of the Chicago Skyline on their walk there by our favorite park North Pond.  Our little cutie is in the front row with a big smile on her face as usual :) 

Spooky Halloween Dinner

We are closing out Halloween weekend with our annual Halloween Spooky dinner with the Moise Girls.  It was quite the spooky feast while we watched It's A Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.
