Great America's Hurricane Harbor

Fun-In-The-Sun today at Hurricane Harbor Water Park.  And a perfect way to cool off on a hot summer day in Chicago. We enjoyed jumping the waves at Hurricane Bay, the water slides at Skull Island & relaxation on the lazy river at Castaway Creek where these photos were taken.  A fun-filled day for all of us :) We "heart" summer!!!

Dark Knight

It has become a tradition that we always get a photo of us riding the roller coaster Dark Night.  This roller coaster is in the dark which makes it even more fun.  The photo is taken at one of the biggest drops in the ride.  And we like to see which one of us looks the silliest.  I'll let you choose as I think they all look pretty silly :)

Roaring Rapids

Today we enjoyed a fun-filled day at Great America with our cousins Zoey & Lucy.  And we rode the Roaring Rapids water ride. This picture was taken after our Roaring Rapids experience. I will say that the photographer in this photo AKA ME got the wettest of the group. But they loved it & are still smiling!!! And we all dried out :)

Retiring The Wheels

What a perfect ending to our 2 week vacation as Josie & Papa are officially retiring her training wheels in Papa's Shop :)  Josie  learned to ride a big girl bike & training wheels are no longer required for her YAHOO!!! She & Papa worked so hard & we are so proud of them both!!! :) No fear & no tears...she rocked it!!!

Here she comes...

We are heading home in a couple hours & look who just surprised us this morning with riding her bike without training wheels.   Way to go Josie & Papa. You both worked so hard the past 2 weeks!!!

Camping On The Beach

Another family tradition at the coast is for us is to camp out all day on the beach. We like to soak up the sun, people watch, look for shells, hang out in the tent papa made us, get our "silly on" & of course grill hot dogs & smores to enjoy at sun set. This year the girls helped dig out the fire pit, great jobs girls.  Vacation 2015 was a success!!! Good-bye until next summer. We "heart" vacation!!!

Humpty Dumpty Again

Last year after we visited Humpty Dumpty he really did fall off of his wall!?!?!!? Say it isn't so!!! Yep it was so as some crazy teenagers knocked him off the wall.  Although the tale says Humpty Dumpty can't be put back together again.  The man that created him, Roger Tofte, did put him back together again. Yay to Humpty Dumpty!!!

My Running Partner

One of this exercise fanatics (aka ME) favorite things to do for exercise is to run the Oregon country side as it's so beautiful & peaceful.  And today I gained a running partner as Gracie kept telling me she wanted to run with me. So today was her big day as we ran a little over a mile together & she really surprised me with her pace as this girl with the long skinny legs can really run.  Hopefully she'll love to run just like her mommy does :) Go Gracie!!!
