Water Girl

This year Gracie took part in our family tradition of planting flowers Memorial Day Weekend. She stirred the dirt in the pots & watered all the flowers. She will be a very good "Water Girl" this summer as she absolutely LOVES her new watering bucket. Since she likes to keep the bucket VERY FULL she makes many trips back to the hose for re-fills :) Let's just hope she does NOT over water our flowers this summer!?!?

Build-A-Bear Day At Wrigley Field

Gracie went to the Cubs game today with Mommy, Uncle Bob & Renee (Nee Nee). It was Build-A-Bear Day so we arrived at the ballpark early to ensure we'd come home with a cubby bear :) Gracie lasted 7 full innings & enjoyed cheering, clapping & giving high 5's for the Cubbies. She ditched her pink cubs hat & pink sunglasses & upgraded with Uncle Bob's. Luckily he didn't mind her pink shades :) Unfortunately the cubs lost the game in the 9th inning but are still in 1st place...yeah!!!

A Day At The Beach

Gracie's first trip to the Oregon Coast was a success!! And heading to the beach was A MUST while visiting Kris's parents. She enjoyed the bright sunshine, walking on the sand & collecting a few shells & rocks. Although a huge wave early in our outing came a little too close for comfort & made her a little leery of getting too close to the water :( Luckily PaPa was there to ease her fears by carrying her as needed :)

Playing In The Rain

It rained ALL DAY on Monday...UGH!?!? But a little rain isn't going to keep us indoors. As soon as there was a break in the rain, Gracie put on her rain gear & we headed outside. She splashed in the puddles on the deck (put her hands in them too!!) & ran back & forth along the sidewalk. When the rain got heavier, she put on her hood & ran & splashed some more!! Of course, mommy was ready to go back inside BUT she had other ideas :)

It's A Girl...

...and more PINK for the Rothleutners!?!? We are VERY EXCITED for another little girl :) Gracie is getting ready for her baby sister too & has learned to say "little sister", points to her in mommy's belly & gives her kisses too. She loves carrying her baby & lately must grab a diaper for her too. Oh what a good helper & big sister she'll be in a few months!

Root, Root, Root For The Cubbies

...and when they don't win on Opening Day it's a shame!! But luckily it didn't bring us down as Gracie still wanted to cheer, sing & do the Cubs victory dance. She even added a few new moves for the 2008 season :) Laurie sat through a rainy cubs game but still is optimistic that this is the year...a TRUE CUBS FAN!! 161 more games to go...
