Daddy Daughter Dance

Tonight's the Daddy Daughter Dance at school.  Oh my, the girls are beyond excited to take daddy as their date to the Spring Fling :)   They picked out their fanciest dresses & I shined daddy's dancing shoes so everyone's ready to go!!! :)  Gracie even picked out his tie & they all have a corsages to wear. Oh I wish I could be a fly on the wall at the dance!?!?!  What a special night for all of them.

Baked Goodies For Sale

Gracie & her class had a very successful bake sale today & they raised $880!!!  I volunteered so I was able to see Gracie in action selling her cookies.  And she was very happy that her cookies were one of the first to sell out.  Oh the look on her face was priceless as she was so pleased that the cookies were a hit.  Her teachers even told her that they liked the "fancy" wrapping.  And Josie & her friends came & bought some cookies from her too.  And our sister school will be getting a new computer.  A very successful day!!! :)

Gracie's also wanted her cookies to look "fancy" so after my little baker went to bed, I packaged them up with fancy ribbon.  She was very pleased with the outcome too :) And she's ready to sell!!!

Gracie's Bake Sale

The first graders are having a bake sale tomorrow to raise money for our sister school in El Salvador.  Their goal is to make enough money to buy the school a new computer or two :)  Gracie was asked to make cookies. And of course, she wanted to help bake the cookies so we have been busy baking tonight.  We made 2 dozen sugar cookies with sprinkles & 2 dozen M&M cookies.  Her only request was that she didn't want to make chocolate chip cookies because EVERYONE was bringing chocolate chip cookies.  She wanted to bring something different & that would be a hit with the kids.  I think we have a couple top sellers :)  And Gracie wants to sell them all tomorrow!!!  Hoping for a very successful bake sale.
