Art Contest
The second graders are having an art contest & the winning drawing will appear on a school Thank You Card. They are to draw what they think of when they think of St. Clement School. I love all the children looking out the windows & Ms. Dan, the girls Principal, standing outside of school. She is known for her curly blonde hair & as the girls like to say "her black uniform" as she always wears some type of black pant suit. Great job Josie & good luck too.

Josie's Community
Josie's class is learning about communities. At the end of the theme she is going to build her own community. She had to bring in old boxes & containers to use to build her community. She was very excited as she is going to make something for her baby. We spent the week collecting all kinds of things to take to school. Today was the big day as they were going to build their community & then they could bring it home. Josie told us that her community was going to be pretty big so she may need help carrying it from her classroom. Gracie said she would come to her room at the end of the day to help her. As I waited outside of school seeing other very large communities from some of her classmates, I began wondering it I needed to go help too. Then I saw them coming outside & sure enough it took all 3 of us to get it home :) So here it is...Josie community for her baby. It includes an office, a parking garage, a restaurant & a home for her baby. The question now is....where are we going to put this as it's taken over our living room?!?!?
