We hosted our first annual tailgate in our backyard today. Gracie was an impressive quaterback passing the football to Uncle Bob. Josie slept through most of the party but did make a special appearance :) Laurie & "the girls" were dressed in their Hawkeye gear but unfortunately Iowa lost!?!?
Since Gracie was sleeping when we got home last night from celebrating the Cubs division win, we shared the good news with her this morning. She had quite the reaction :)
GO CUBS GO....Kris & Laurie witnessed the Cubs win back-to-back division championship titles in 100 years. This is our year...GO CUBS GO!!!

Gracie's friend Jack hosted a "painting playday" on the roof deck of his house today for Gracie, Evelyn & Taylor. They each brought their own paint supplies & became quite the little artists. What a fun way to spend a sunny fall day in Chicago. Gracie was covered in paint from head to toe & really enjoyed getting messy!?!? The day ended with a much needed bubble bath before bedtime :) 
And the smock comes off...
Gracie & Laurie started a "Mommy & Me" Preschool today...oh what fun!! Gracie was very excited to lead the way down the hallway to her classroom. And it brought back many good memories for Laurie of her school days :)
