While wine tasting on our summer vacation in Oregon in 2009, we stumbled upon a wonderful find at Domaine Serene. They were showcasing a bottle of Pinot Noir from their "Grace Vineyard" And it was also featured in Wine Spectator for Best Wines of 2006 & scored 99 points out of 100. We knew that we had to buy this special "Grace" wine, despite it's price as our "Grace Ella" was born in 2006. It seemed like a match made in heaven. We were so excited that we took pictures with the bottle during our wine tasting . We even had Kris's parents mail it too us with "extra special" care so that we could store it in our wine fridge. We also told Gracie about this special bottle of wine & she began to refer to it as "her bottle" of wine. We had planned on letting it age over the next several years & enjoying the bottle with Gracie when she turned 21. However, we realized that it was best to let it age & drink sooner rather than later. So last night, we so very carefully told Gracie that we were going to drink "her bottle" for our anniversary. She was very excited that we were going to drink it & her only request was that she got to take a picture with "her bottle". We told her we would keep the empty bottle for her too. It turned out to be the absolute perfect day to enjoy as we celebrate #9!!! :) Cheers to all & it was worth every penny as it was delicious. Priceless just like our little Gracie Girl.
