Kindergarten Drop In Day

Today was "Drop-In Day" at Gracie's school. So mommy & Gracie went to school together (so fun for mommy!!!) to meet her teachers, new classmates & get familiar with the room. She was very excited to find her cubby & her desk too. And she was very excited to see "her name" on many things in the room :) Next up...we went to a picnic in the park with all of her classmates. While Gracie made new friends, Mommy & Daddy mingled & were pleased to meet so many nice families too. Tomorrow is her first day of school & we are so excited for her & us too :)

Beach Day

Next stop...Chicago's North Avenue Beach for some fun-in-the sun with The Bough's & The Peterson's!!! We love summer in Chicago :)

Millenium Park

Gracie starts Kindergarten this week...yay!!! She'll be going to school 5 days a week which will be an adjustment for all of us :) So "us girls" decided to spend our last few summer days having fun in Chicago. First up...Millenium Park where we hung out at "The Bean". "Look mommy it's a giant jelly belly" is what Gracie said when she saw it". And then we headed to the fountain to splish & splash!!! What a fun outing before school starts :)

Cinderella Princess Party

Today we celebrated the girls birthdays with a CINDERELLA PRINCESS PARTY!!! The girls absolutely love disney princesses & Little Ms. Gracie has been planning her & Josie's birthday party for several months now. And of course, it's a PRINCESS PARTY!!! Cinderella has always been Josie's favorite princess so she was the obvious choice. If you ask Josie who her favorite princess is she will proudly yell "CindeRELLA" . Our special guest was a big hit at the party...despite mother nature ruining our plans at the park & forcing us to find a back-up plan. But we were not going to be "washed out!!!" A good time was had by all. And most importantly, our little princesses had a wonderful birthday party & they are still talking about it too :) Happy 5th & 3rd Birthday's Gracie & Josie!!!

Chuck E Cheese

Today we celebrated the girls birthdays!!! It's so much fun that they share a birthday & we can't imagine it being any other way!!! Nor can they :) Our celebration ended at Chuck E Cheese :)

Splish Splash

Today we decided to squeeze in one more pool day before the summer is over :( So we headed to the pool with some of our favorite friends...The Peterson's & The Brough's. Of course, the girls had to pack their dancing princesses in our pool bag :) And they carried them all over the pool...so fun that they are so into the disney princess phase!!! My girly girls :)

Josie's Big Girl Bike

Josie was very proud to ride her big girl bike today!!! She is finally big enough to ride Gracie's hand me down tricycle. Look at the smile on her face :) Now they both can ride their bikes to the park...yay!!!

Take Me Out To The Ballgame

It was the Cubs vs. Reds today at Wrigley Field. And it was the cubbies all the way with lots of offense & a 11-4 victory...Go Cubs Go!!! We enjoyed a fun-filled day of baseball & ballpark treats...hot dogs, popcorn, french fries & ice cream dibs to name a few. Gracie kept asking to sing Go Cubs Go & was very excited when it was finally time to sing it with the rest of the crowd :)
