Halloween Parade
The "Dancing Queen" & The "Belle" of The Ball enjoyed their Halloween parties at school & parading around school with their classes in their costumes too. And Mommy got to volunteer & join in on all the fun. We love Halloween!!! :)

Josie is all set for Orange & Black accessory day at school. These Pumpkin leggings have been a family tradition since Gracie was two years old. Ooohhh how I love family traditions :)

Spa Day With Mandy
While daddy was enjoying his daddy/daughter day with Gracie, I was enjoying a day of pampering with Mandy. She treated me to a fun manicure/pedicure/cupcake & glass of champagne at the Spa on Oak for my birthday followed by some shopping on Michigan Avenue. A fun mommy day out!!! :) I always love GDO "Girls Day Out". Cheers to Chicago & the amazing view!!! :)
Pumpkin Farm Outing With Daddy
Daddy took the day off today to join Gracie & the 2nd graders for their field trip to the Pumpkin Farm. I love how he started the trip off with a "selfie" of him & Gracie just like I like to do :) Yay daddy & a cute photo too!!! :) The day continued with learning about the farm animals, enjoying a hayride & of course bringing home a pumpkin. A fun-filled daddy/daughter day!!! :) School field trips rock.

Celebrating #9
Tonight we celebrated #9 in "our kind of town" Chicago at Sunda. And to our surprise our friends, The Moises, had a bottle of our favorite bubbly waiting for us. Love anniversaries & good friends :)

Grease Is The Word
Tonight was the ever so anticipated Halloween Party at school. Traditionally it's a family affair & the most talked about school event of the fall. I've always been a big fan of the movie Grease so when Gracie picked out these costumes while looking through Halloween magazines, I got very excited for us girls to be the "Pink Ladies" & daddy to be our favorite "T-Bird". And daddy even agreed to wear a wig which really excited the girls as they thought that he looked silly with so much hair :) So fun that Nana Shirley was able to join us for the party too. The Rothleutner's were a hit...Go Grease Lighting!!! :)

Domaine Serene's "Grace"
While wine tasting on our summer vacation in Oregon in 2009, we stumbled upon a wonderful find at Domaine Serene. They were showcasing a bottle of Pinot Noir from their "Grace Vineyard" And it was also featured in Wine Spectator for Best Wines of 2006 & scored 99 points out of 100. We knew that we had to buy this special "Grace" wine, despite it's price as our "Grace Ella" was born in 2006. It seemed like a match made in heaven. We were so excited that we took pictures with the bottle during our wine tasting . We even had Kris's parents mail it too us with "extra special" care so that we could store it in our wine fridge. We also told Gracie about this special bottle of wine & she began to refer to it as "her bottle" of wine. We had planned on letting it age over the next several years & enjoying the bottle with Gracie when she turned 21. However, we realized that it was best to let it age & drink sooner rather than later. So last night, we so very carefully told Gracie that we were going to drink "her bottle" for our anniversary. She was very excited that we were going to drink it & her only request was that she got to take a picture with "her bottle". We told her we would keep the empty bottle for her too. It turned out to be the absolute perfect day to enjoy as we celebrate #9!!! :) Cheers to all & it was worth every penny as it was delicious. Priceless just like our little Gracie Girl.

Today I'm celebrating #9 with the best husband, father, friend, chef, wine tasting partner, cubs game cohort just to name a few that a girl could ask for. I'm a lucky lady!!! :) Cheers to us, cheers to #9 & cheers to many, many more fun-filled years together. XOXO

Today the kindergarteners went to the pumpkin patch on a field trip. Unfortunately, mommy wasn't able to join in on the fun on this one but luckily Josie's teacher got a picture of her & her friend Lucia enjoying the super giant slide together. Priceless :)

Birthday Cheers
After enjoying a fun-filled day with the girls, I enjoyed a yummy dinner at Gemini Bistro with my hubby!!! The perfect ending to an amazing birthday with all my favorites :)
Mommy's Birthday Cheer
Best party of my birthday...Gracie choreographed a birthday cheer for me. What a fun surprise & I'm so glad that daddy captured it on video. She said she had been working on it for a couple of days. And I love how she wore her "Cheer" shirt too. Josie's role was the noisemakes :) Thanks girls, I loved it!!!

Burger Night With Ms. Chertack
Tonight we enjoyed BURGER NIGHT at Dunlay's with Ms. Chertack. We also enjoyed their yummy spinach dip & of course ice cream. A very fun October outing for all. Hmm..where should we go in November??? We love our monthly get togethers :)
