LPWC

We created a "LPWC" aka "Lincoln Park Wine Club" with some of my favorite friends.  Guess who hosted our first GNO :) So fun ladies!!! And looking forward to next month already.

Hundreds Board

Today Josie would like me to play the 100's Board math game with Baby & Ella :) May the best player win!!! :)

Gracie's Finger Puppets

Gracie's book report this week was to make a book cover out of a soup can & finger puppets for all of the characters from popsicle sticks.  Of course, she chose Frozen & they couldn't have turned out more adorable. Mommy bought some yarn from Jo Ann's & helped with braiding Elsa & Anna's hair :)  Nice teamwork for us girls!!!

What's For Dinner?

Well they came home hungry so while they were gone I made them pink chocolate chip waffle bites with all the fun fixings....whip cream, chocolate chips & of course pink & white M&M's :) Yummy!!!

Flowers For Mommy :)

Mommy wasn't invited to the dance but they came home VERY excited to give me a red rose to accompany the pink ones that daddy bought them. Awe thanks for thinking of me :)

Daddy/Daughter Dance

Tonight was the much anticipated Daddy/Daughter Dance at school.  The girls picked out their favorite party dresses as soon as we received the invitation in the mail.  The only question that was uncertain was how they were going to wear their hair. Gracie REALLY wanted me to curl her hair & asked me many, many times during the approaching weeks if I would curl her hair for the big night.  Josie didn't care how her hair was styled as long as it looked like her big sisters :)  I remember being a little girl who use to love it when my mom would curl my hair, so I knew I had to come through with this simple request.  So I bought a new curling iron, new hair spray & a few new clips & I was ready to roll :)  The picture of the 3 of them together is my favorite as I'm not sure who is luckier tonight but my heart is melting :)  Have fun dancing XOXOXO

Surprise Gracie

Today Gracie's friend Taylor & her mommy Jenny surprised Gracie & came to watch her cheer on the 8th Grade Boys basketball game.   Awe...look at those cute little smiles :)  Thanks for coming girls.

G & J Half Birthday

Summer birthday's are not overlooked at school as you get to bring in your birthday treat on your half birthday.  The girls were very excited to celebrate their half birthday at school with their friends. And they wanted mommy to bake something special as Gracie said "Everyone's mom's just buy things from the grocery store & it's boring!!! " :)  And since I like to bake, I was up for the challenge.  So I let the girls decide what they wanted me to make & they both agreed that they wanted Nana Marci's chocolate texas sheet cake.  But they also wanted me to make pink, purple & yellow frosting so that each square had yummy frosting on it.  I couldn't turn this request down.   Once the platter was ready, Josie told me it looked "Awesome" & after school Gracie told me that some of her friends said that her dessert was better than any that they have had from a bakery.  Wow!!! Mommy feels extra special for spending the afternoon baking for my girls.  We also took flip flop napkins to bring a little summer to winter.  Josie's teacher sent us a cute picture of her enjoying her dessert in her birthday crown too, yay!!! :)

Our holiday weekend ended with a fun-filled ice skating day with Zoey.  It's hard to believe that we haven't been ice skating in 2 years & the girls did very well on the ice :) Mommy did too!!!

A fun-filled day celebrating Nora Kate's Birthday at her Luau Party.  If you look closely, you'll see Josie in the middle of the picture jumping & photobombing Gracie's friends :)  So nice of Nora Kate' mom to dress Josie up in Hawaiian Luau attire too.   Great party!!! :)

Couple's Dinner

Tonight we celebrated Valentine's Day at a "Couple's Dinner" at our favorite neighborhood restaurant Sapori.  They had a private intimate couple's dinner with a pre-fixed menu, bubbly & lots & lots of rose pedals.  Happy Valentine's Day to US :) Cheers!!!

Pre-Valentine's Day Pampering

We had a "lip smacking" good time at our 3rd annual Valentine's Day Spa day with The Petereson's. It's always a fun time enjoying Valentine's Day pampering with some of our favorite friends. And the mommy's enjoyed a glass of bubbly to toast the holiday too.  XOXO

Star Of The Week

She's been waiting all year for her turn & it's finally here.  Gracie is "Star Of The Week". The "Star Of The Week" creates a poster about themselves & also brings in some of their favorite things. Gracie is bringing in her American Girl Doll Lanie, her baking bag as she likes to cook, some of her favorite books including her Disney World Journal & Autograph Book & her "G" Canteen.  And her award is the "Sweet Tarts Award" she got in first grade for her sweet disposition. She also picked out 20+ pictures to hang on the bulletin board that span from when when she was a baby to the present :)

Gracie's Fan Club

Today Nana Shirley & Uncle Bob came to watch Gracie cheer at the 5th & 6th Grade Boys Basketball games.   Oh my, her smile tells it all & thanks for coming to see her in action. She is in the left corner :)  Go St. Clement Blue!!! And Go Gracie too!!!

Watch Out Vera Wang

Josie talks about getting married almost every day :)  Today while we were having more "wedding talk" Gracie designed Josie a LONG veil made out of paper.  As you can see, she loves it!!! :)  She also put pink hearts all over it.   A designer & wedding planner.

Gracie's Tablescape

We have been busy preparing for Gracie's upcoming First Communion in May.  As part of the process she has a project every month that we must complete as a family. This months project was titled "Celebrating As A Family".  As part of the assignment, Gracie was to make a dessert for her family, chose party decorations, decorate the table etc.  A perfect project for her too as she loves to bake, decorate & throw parties :)  Before enjoying the yummy brownies she made us, we read a passage out of the bible about the Wedding At Cana.  We then shared our favorite family celebrations.  It was fun to hear the girls talk about their favorite birthday memories & past Christmas's & we even talked about celebrating mommy & daddy's anniversary.  We then each had to draw our favorite family celebration.  Gracie chose to draw our anniversary because she likes that she gets to celebrate it with us :)   I love the picture she drew of us. Her tablescape was beautiful & her brownies were delicious.  A fun family project as she prepares for the big day.

Gracie The Illustrator

This weeks book report was to illustrate a new cover for your favorite book.  Gracie chose the book "Frozen" & drew Olaf with a glass of lemonade saying "I love summer!!!"  We are so glad that this snowman can't melt:) Great job Gracie on a very original cover.
