Our fun-filled shopping day ended warming up at Dunlays with hot chocolate by the fireplace. Such little cuties :)

All About Isabelle

Just a few more days for Isabelle at the American Girl store as the 2015 American Girl Doll will be announced on New Years Day.  So the girls & I went downtown today to the American Girl Store to buy Isabelle a few things with our Christmas money.  Of course, they were ready to spend some of it :) We were very excited when we got there & all of her clothes & accessories were on sale.  The girls did a great job making decisions on what they could buy with the amount of money they had to spend.  And snapping a few photo by her was a must too.  It was a great shopping day & lunch at the Rock-N-Roll McDonalds was yummy too.

Ho Ho Ho...Santa Claus Came

Check out those smiles when they realized that Santa did come to our house :) I captured them coming downstairs at 10am.  Oh yes, we all slept in late after a late-nighter on Christmas Eve.

Christmas Will NOT Be Delayed?!?

2014 Christmas Eve will be the Christmas Eve to remember for all of us.  We left the Stephen's house at 10pm.  And at about half hour later, we got a flat tire on our way home. Thankfully we were able to get off the road & into a gas station as we were not in a very good neighborhood.  Daddy tried his best to change the tire but he didn't have the right tools ugh!!! So we called a service company & waited for road side assistance to arrive.  After waiting for an hour, Kris called to check on the status & found out that they cancelled our order. What?!?! They didn't want to come out on Christmas Eve. It's now 11:45am & we have two little girls crying in the back seat worrying that Santa Claus is not gonna come to our house.  Heck yes, Mommy reassures them that he's still coming :)  Luckily daddy works his Christmas Magic & persuades another tow service to come to help us.  While they change the tire, the girls & I go into the not so nice gas station for snacks & to use the bathroom.  It was not a great experience.And to this day the girls still talk about the writing (aka graffiti) written on the walls in the bathroom. We finally got home at 1:30am & Mommy & Daddy went to bed at 4:30am.  HO HO HO Santa Clause still came to our house sometime after 4:30am :)

Favorite Ornament of 2014

As you can tell by many of my recent posts,  I love getting new ornaments.  But the one that Josie gave me today is by far my favorite ornament this year.  It's her little thumb prints that her teachers helped her turn into Rudolph with lots of glitter spread all around it :)  My heart melts just looking at her little thumb prints as I have made many projects the past 6 years with those little thumb prints & foot prints too.  This ornament will make me smile for years to come :)   Thank you Josie XOXOX

Annual Rothleutner Holiday Party

One of our favorite nights of the year, hosting our friends at our house for our annual holiday party. There is so much love that goes into planning our party menu for this group.  And Kris's secret Sangria Recipe is always a hit too.  Tis the season for celebrating with good friends. We already have ideas for next years bash!!!

Candy Cane

Josie's class has had an Elf in their classroom this holiday season watching over them. They fondly named him Candy Cane. And if you know anything about Elves, the number #1 rule is that you do NOT touch the elf or it will lose it's magic powers. Well today, Candy Cane lost it's magic powers for 20 minutes so that each child could say good-bye.  And luckily for Josie, Mommy was there helping with Christmas Bingo & captured her saying good-bye to Candy Cane :)

Ballerina

Gracie has worked really hard this year on the Dance Team.  This week was Parent Watch Week & I was so impressed with all that she had learned so far this year.  She also received a progress report & her teachers noted that she has a lot of natural talent & that her technique continues to get stronger every week. They also noted that her poise & posture are refreshing to watch. She exceeded expectations in Coordination, Discipline & Focus.  Way to go Gracie, keep up the hard work. We are very proud of you!!! :)

Today we decorated our tree.  Gracie assisted me with the lights & garland & Josie helped organize the ornaments.  Then we all worked together putting the ornaments on the tree.  Great job by all.

Every year the girls get new ornaments to put on our Christmas Tree.  This year they were overjoyed with the sparkly Elsa & Anna shoes from the movie Frozen.  And wow the shoes really sparkle with the lights on the tree.  The perfect ornaments for our Frozen-Filled year in 2014 & for two girls who LOVE shoes too :)
