Next up...Princess Play Day with our friend from school Scarlett.  They enjoyed princess attire, pink princess goldfish & princess gummies :) And a princess manicure/pedicure in Scarlett's pool :)

Farmers Market

 

One last Wednesday Farmer's Market in Lincoln Park before Jenny moves to Minnesota :(  Jenny, Jen & I & the kiddies use too come here ever Wednesday after our stroller workout class since our kiddies were babies.  So glad we enjoyed one more together :)

I always enjoy the sunflowers in our backyard in the summer &  this one is the biggest of the bunch :)

Sister Day

About a month ago Gracie announced that we would be celebrating "Big Sister Day" on Sunday 8/3. Josie said she wanted to celebrate "Little Sister Day" so we decided to celebrate "Sister Day".  And then the party planning began.  They had lots of ideas so we planned & planned & planned :) We began the day by going out for breakfast at Einstein's followed by scooting at the park, We then packed a  picnic lunch & headed to our favorite spot at North Pond.  And all along I thought that this was a fun-filled day that Gracie created for us as the "Big Sister".  Well I guess not,  as when we got home from North Pond she showed me on the Ipad how she googled it & there really is a day called "Sister Day" & it really is today!!!.  My little 7 year old is very smart.  So happy Sister Day to all of the sisters out there including my sister & sister-in-law.  And it was only fitting to post pictures of Gracie & Josie when it all began on 8/17/08.   Awe the memories & a new holiday we plan to celebrate every year :)

Bon Voyage Besties

Tonight we had a Bon Voyage Party for two of my besties, Jenny & Marcia.  We met as new mommy's 8 years ago when our littles Gracie, Taylor & Johnny were born a few months apart. And we have been besties ever since with so many babies classes together & sibings added to the mix.  They leave the "Windy City" for Minnesota & Wisconsin but I know we will always be the best of friends.  Cheers to these ladies & a lifelong friendship. 

Camping American Girl Style

What's better than camping in your backyard?!? Hmmm...camping with your favorite dolls too. These girls love their American Girl dolls & all their fun summer picnic & camping gear.  A fun-filled day for Gracie, Josie, Lanie, Maddie & Jennifer :) #americangirl
