Gracie REALLY wanted to learn to ride a bike this summer without training wheels. And what better time to do so than while on vacation for 2 weeks. Although after getting her a new bike, she was a little apprehensive of riding a bigger bike & gaining her balance. Since the thought of putting training wheels on her new bike upset her, daddy started to call them "safety wheels". Which surprisingly she was fine with...well for a little while anyways :) As while we were in Portland for the weekend, she told Papa she wanted to surprise us by learning to ride WITHOUT "safety wheels". So the wheels came off & the work began. But nothing comes easy right?!? So after hours of hard work, tissues & tears & some pep talks from Papa, she was riding on her own. We were definitely surprised when we returned & so very proud of her too! Thank you Papa!!! What a wonderful memory for you both.
